about

This song is based on Isaiah 41:14.

"Fear not, you worm Jacob, you men of Israel! I will help you," says the LORD and your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.

God is not calling his beloved names here. He is telling them that He recognizes their need.

Today, this applies to all who are IN Jesus. He knows our frame and he promises help understanding completely our downfalls and weakness.

A worm is blind (doesn't even have eyes) and can't find it's way. It does not boast great ability. I think something wonderful happens when we confess our weakness to God, agreeing with him, "Yeah, I'm just about as helpless as a worm. I need YOU Jesus!"
