I started writing this song about 8 years ago on a mission trip to Mexico. I've had it float into my head every so often since then. I never wrote anything down. I didn't even have chords - just a chorus, melody and lyrics. I asked the Lord to help me finish it one day on the way to work and over the next few weeks He led me as I crafted it. I believe it's a song from the Lord.

It deals with why a man of God, filled with the Spirit, who wants to please God may still stumble. It's often a subtle lie that enters my thinking that gets me. But God is faithful to correct me. He brings truth and grace. The correction of God is never without his love, a pull towards restoration, and POWER to change. Paul says it - it's the phenomenon that always attends the presence of the Holy Spirit in a man. That phenomenon is life in Christ Jesus. The holy Spirit is the one who leads me back to the truth and changes my heart. Oh God I'm so grateful.
